Sing it, Sister
An ode to Abecedarian Poetry
Always searching for the future or hiding
Back in the comfortable, obscure past
Clearly understanding the distinction
Damn girl, grab the reins at last
Einstein thinking, indeed it is not
Flooding my cells and molecules
Down the drain- like a joker bot
Hold up, sister, you’re running way too fast
Imagination is the key; beat different drums at last
Just in time to do a major redesign
Killing motivation — grab for passion so divine
Leave the highways that shout ‘do not enter’
Muster up the courage to say no mo’ — center
Never give up an adage from past seasons
Opposite of dedication to intolerable reasoning
Perseverance will shove you out of the corner
Questions with answers you long to discover
Reside deep down in the riverbed of my sins
Serenity is a choice, a new beginning not end
