Sadness walks in and takes my hand
Come on, my child, it’s time to take a stand
It’s not a place to live; visit don’t stay
Then pull yourself up and find another way

It’s been a long time you don’t belong here
The world is waiting for you to let go of the fear
You know you can do it all the tools are there
So many are pulling for you if you dare

Your family and friends surrounding you in all your glory
WaIting for you to begin a brand new story
As the sun starts to set, get your rest
Tomorrow’s another day; it isn’t a test.

This is in response to a prompt by Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她)!
